06 Jun LOOK at this face!
Exciting NEWS! Our new full time speech and feeding therapist is bringing in a therapy dog! In her own words:
“My dog’s name is “June”. She is a 2.5 year-old 100lb all white and fluffy Great Pyrenees and the most docile angel. She is registered as an “Emotional Support Animal”, and I also have a Rx for her from my MD. She came from an organic farm in northwest Georgia. A number of her siblings were used as working farm dogs, protecting the delicate livestock from predators. She has been visiting public places with me (Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc.) since the age of 6 months, gaining most of her experience from being around children that I’m around and elderly individuals at the geriatric nursing facility across the street from me in Buckhead. I plan to go a step further and have her trained through “Therapy Dogs, Inc.” at some point in the future.
Raise your hand if you want to meet June!
